Kit

UX/UI Design, Brand Design| Newco

Kit is a bathroom renovation in a box concept, covering from design, delivery, to installation in a fixed-price with an online landing to guide the customers through.

The initial product tested a full bathroom builder on web. It was then moved on to get a refresh in branding and business approach through better understanding of the audience.

A new brand identity is rooted on the peaceful and elevated bathroom, taking inspiration from natural imageries of water and rocks, moving away from the original DIY concept.

Following a new identity, Kit have to also shift the focus and approach. From a fully customized bathroom builder, it pivots to a flow to represent ease.

A first proposal of the new direction and landing page, to highlight the different feeling a customer should have upon landing on the site.
As Kit take off the builder, it now needs to convey its new service and value to the customer. Website grid and component templates were set up for the team to make use to tell the new Kit story.

Some versions and A/B testing were done to figure out the best new user flow. Each variation identifies new flaws, and aim to shorten the steps.

Selected few flows that were tested. The team learn that the customers had less inclination to make a full customized bathroom, and the process of placing any payment with large amount of money online is extremely unlikely. To that, Kit changed to focus on making design sets more akin to common e-commerce experience. The main CTA is shifted to providing quote and booking calls, moving the handling of making payment on call, for customers to feel more at ease when spoken to a real human representative.
